Three proposals were approved involving four companiesThe Tropicalization Program of the Brazil GEF Biogas Project, which aims to promote cooperation between Brazilian and foreign companies to identify opportunities that meet the demands of the local market, selected three proposals in its 2st cycle of approvals:
Proposal 3 - Biogasclean MBR Desulfurization System: Cooperation between Biogasclean, NovoGas Energia and Fokal. Proposal 4 - Integrated Solutions for Optimized Biodigester Feeding: Vogelsang. Proposal 5 - Nationalization of Biofertilizer Distributor for Digestate Valuation: Vogelsang. The selected proposals, in addition to meeting the challenges listed by the Brazilian biogas market, promote technological knowledge transfer and industrial partnerships. In the next stage, the Brazil GEF Biogas Project will define, together with the selected international and Brazilian companies, an action plan for the development of new partnerships and the generation of concrete results. The objective of the Tropicalization Program is to engage national and international stakeholders to implement actions that encourage economic development and technological innovation aimed at the biogas value chain in Brazil. The Program adapts to the Brazilian market ("tropicalizes") successful international technological solutions or business models that correspond to one or more of the six challenges declared by the Brazilian biogas market. Each of the listed challenges is a priority line of the Tropicalization Program. The Brazil GEF Biogas Project is led by the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MCTI), financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The Project has the International Center for Renewable Energies (CIBiogás) as its main executing agency.
